On the last few days, we have focused on solving small failures and adding new functions.
The most important features are the new event field to attach an external URL, that provides more information on the event, as well as the improvement on the statistic system, which can tell us instantly where traffic come from, regarding a particular article or event.
Up to now in the Ab·core platform, at the end of every article of the news service, the author's name was showed, as well as the translator's name in case of being a translated text. We could choose to visualize these names, so as the possibility to link those with an e-mail address.
We have now enhanced this preference, so that as well as linking the name with an e-mail address you can additionally link with the author and/or translator's profile in the extranet.
We think this is the most appropriate option having in mind the number of Spammers around. Also, because it offers additional information to the reader about the author's profile, previous articles, comments, etc.
We will shortly be improving the profile site in the users extranet so that personalized messages can also be sent.

Many enhancements and new functionality on the Extranet, that will soon be ready to be open to the public .
Enhancements and bug fixing on the Pager interface that manages the data lists from the Administration.
New kind of control and statistics management. Now the News, Newsletter and Stakeholders services, and next the other services that use the same tool to calculate the number of people that visit an article, and also to view graphically this results. The efficiency of the data base containing the log information is also enhanced.
SocialBookmarking service added to all the Ab·Core services.
The comments management interface has been re-designed.
The comments tool has been added to the Event service.

We have released an update that offers a new service and a few improvements to the existing package. AntiSpam and monitoring services have also been upgraded.
When the summer time arrives, the majority of people opts to ‘migrate’ to cooler environments, take a little bit of free time, relax,... But in Iwith.org we have a tradition: a bunch of crazy programmers lock ourselves out with no phone, no email, and no distractions, and we star to implement, enhance and design enhancements and services for the Ab•core platform.
That’s how “La Plataforma” was born, on summer 2001, and, since then, each year we repeat the tradition, and on these dates we try to do enhancements and changes that, during the year, because of work, professional life or simply because of lack of time, we are not able to do.
